Jake is an experienced finance executive specializing in private equity and direct investing in privately-held companies, business valuation, analysis of key financial business drivers, capital structures (debt and equity) and debt financings.
Before founding Village Family Capital, he was with Endeavour Capital, a private equity firm based in the Northwest with $1.5 billion under management, where he was an investment professional. During that time, he helped screen, structure, negotiate and diligence direct equity investments and worked closely with portfolio companies, directly with senior management and at the Board level. Prior to Endeavour, Jake was with Lincoln International, a Chicago-based investment banking firm, where he advised on mergers and acquisitions for middle-market companies in a wide variety of industries, within Lincoln’s Chicago and Frankfurt offices.
Jake earned his Bachelor of Sciences in Mathematical Business, Magna Cum Laude, from Wake Forest University. He is the past chair and board member of the non-profit Camp Fire Columbia, which partners with local kids, schools and families to build caring, confident youth and future leaders, and is a founding member of XRAY.FM, which is a non-profit radio station in Portland. And for fun Jake enjoys skiing, hiking and cycling throughout the Pacific Northwest.
